Digital Literacy
This is a project that I had a ridiculously hard time trying to settle on what I wanted to do. When I first starting thinking about it, it's like I was tapping an empty well. I had no idea what to do. So, I did what I usually do when I am unsure about something and I chatted about it with my husband. We watched the videos that our Professor put up for us, and then we just talked about our thoughts on what we saw... talk about collaboration. This really helped me expand the way I was thinking about this concept, and really helped get some ideas flowing through my brain.
I then had almost too many ideas that weren't quite right. I had all of these smaller thoughts, and things I could do, but no real way to kind of synthesize them into a final project. So, I typed them up and came up with these little snippets of interesting little things, that were all a little linked....
So naturally, I wrote a haiku, a poem, a skit, and a couple of other little blurbs, grabbed my husband and sister, and made this podcast. I am warning you that it is incredibly cheesy, borderline ridiculous.
Because chirbit doesn't readily have a feature that lets you stop recording and start back where you left off, and because I was using multiple actors, I actually used the sound recorder that already exists on my Windows Computer and made a WMV file, which I then uploaded to chirbit to make the podcast.
All in all, I think it's pretty silly, but what is life without some silliness and this process really helped me to solidify and concentrate my ideas about this subject.
